Hi, welcome to my personal page, I'm Kate a Landscape Painter and Potter originally from Scotland, now living in Braidwood NSW.
I have been painting for 25 years and my work is always influenced by my surroundings, I am lucky that here in Braidwood, the beautiful landscape incudes, rolling hills, gum trees, huge skies, and wild flowers. I have always had a love of painting clouds -I am obsessed with them!
I use Oils mixed with wax to create texture in my work and mainly use palette knives although i do use brushes too. I will often use objects I find to print onto the plywood as well to create different layers of texture and have even used dried grasses to print with.
